Animative Experience

Okies! Heyo! Um.. I doubt this is the first post for the holidays, so hmn.. I dunno.

Wow, not enough sleep for over a week and my brain’s frying, but anywho! Arts and stuff!

First!

Selection of pics I’ve done so far for concepting for Tuesday morning’s 2d animation class. Gotta clean her up into a better finished pic, but I’ve got a general idea of what she looks like anyway. Did before the class started as she’s in one the projects we did earlier in the year. These were done in 2d class though, variations to see if there’s actually some changes I wouldn mind making for her and trying to pick which ones fit etc.
Soo yah.
That’s something for the next two weeks to finish.

Which is something I’m doing for myself. I seriously need more drawing practice and to make myself you know, sit down and draw. Sooo.. Giving myself set tasks to draw over the course of a week and here’s some sketches from last monday to this!
10 Dogs/3 leaves x 3 angles/a bunch of flowers. Obviously this is just some of the dogs. And yeah.. I did most of them last night/today, but hey, did it before the monday was over, so woo!

So yeah. Posting for arts and stuff done annnnnd… I’ll likely post this or that sketch that I like weekly for my weekly drawing practice and such. So yes, heads up! Woo! ^^

Cause Damien keeps going on about this sort of thing and I just got mail from ACMI about it.. Here’s for anyone else who cares to look!

There’s two talks on Thu 3 Jul 2008, 1pm - 4pm at ACMI in the city talking about Mobile Entertainment/Games stuff by a panel of people who presumably work in the industry and the relevance of such media in todays market for both gaming and entertainment purposes.
I think I’ll go have a look depending what work’s put me down for.

So yeah, info for other peoples and to share with others and such!

Well putting this in school, probably doesn’t go in that cat, but whatever.
It’s almost 1:30am on a well, suppose it’s Wednesday morning now.. and I’m just going through random peoples blogs and commenting. Any comments before now were done before this post, any after were done after! Duh!

I have no particular reason to be doing this, just looking at people’s blogs and stuff and well.. comments are nice! Useless as most of the ones I’m dropping are.
Still, some people actually using their blogs and such, so that’s nice to see.

Heyo!

I signed up for the ACMI newsletter thing that comes out uh.. once a month? Via email and such from one of the things from a time I’ve gone there.. I think. Or I signed up ont he site. Anyway, whatever.

Which all looks really cool.. I’m just all GAH cause the only days I can go have a look are Monday and possibly Sat/Sunday.. All the programs during hte week start at 5pm+. Monday we finish early enough to go see something, but Tuesday with class now finishing at 6pm and then Wed class finishing at 8pm.. THEN I have work that -starts- at 5pm I’m buggered for any chances to go see and I’d really dang well like to actually go this year! I’ll have to wait and see how work arranges itself for the weekend. Cause by golly gosh and dangit! I want to go have a looksie.

So yeah. For anyone who -can- go and for people who didn’t know and could be a lil curious and etc!
Animation Festival at ACMI Mon16th of June to Sun 22nd of June.

This dude I’ve been working on and off for like, weeks now.. probably two months, school stuff keeps getting in the way and the fact I’m up to shading the wings makes it all a bugger. Using him for a couple of the tutorials for Grahams class though, so uh, yay that?

It’s also an absurdly small percentage in size of the real image.

Well here’s something for next semester’s project.. and is really really irritating me currently as I can’t seem to find my original seven step outline for my story idea which is irritating me massively, reeeeeeeally. Yes, I can see I’ve repeated myself, but there you go!

(also testing if these ‘cuts’ work on this thing. Gosh wordpress is easier to use and I think I’ll transfer this over after the holidays.)

Well.. here’s an article I read a while ago and found to be particularly interesting. About how times have changed in the work place and how there’s soooo many distractions in the work place there to ‘help’ but that actually clogs up all your time. How all these nifty little things just add so much noise in the background you can’t concentrate anymore about what’s important.

It’s written with animators in mind but can be applied to other work places as well, studying even. I remember making note of it after something that was said last year in one of the classes.. and reading the article reminded me of it and how true it was and yeah. I liked the a rticle so much I actually saved it on a word doc and the page! ^^
