Cause I just found it again and I utterly love this site.
http://tvtropes.org/
For a listing off all your possible sterotypes, cliches, etc etc and their variants you can possibly have in tv/movies/anime/books/games/etc with descriptions and examples this is a wonderful site, seriously. Go looksie! It’s absurdly easy to go and waste simply hoooooours circling round and round from various links on each page reading up about all your types of character types and the examples you might possibly know from different series and other things.
So yeah. As it’s media related and I think it’s a pretty cool place to look about, especially for well, discovering all those different cliches, tricks, character developments, story arcs, plotlines, etc, that can happen through story telling. Much fun!
It’s a wiki so it’s influenced by people and is constantly added to/updated.
It’s also got spoiler blockouts so you wont spoil things for yourself if you’re currently watching/reading something and the thing they use as an example is something you haven’t actually seen yet. It’s your choice if you screw it up for yourself basically!
And yeah. Thought I’d share, lookie, using the blog for something!
